
Mitchell Institute Summer Intern
June 1 – August 15 | 20 hrs/week | $20/hr

The Mitchell Institute Summer Intern will work alongside the Scholar Team to support community engagement, social media, and events. This is a hands-on learning opportunity designed to give the intern real experience in nonprofit communications, community building, and event coordination in a collaborative and supportive environment. This role will work in-person in our Portland office. We encourage all Scholars and Alumni to apply!
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute creative social media content across Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Collaborate with the Scholar Team to welcome the incoming Class of 2026 Scholars
- Brainstorm and pitch fresh ideas for engaging current Scholars and Alumni on social platforms
- Support planning and preparation for summer events, including the Welcome Celebration in early August
- Coordinate with the Scholar Team to assemble and distribute care packages for Scholars
